Our Story
Woven with care, sourced with purpose
Wovefabrics started with a simple frustration: it was hard to find fabric online that actually felt like what you saw in the photos. Too often, "ivory silk" arrived looking nothing like the swatch, or a promising cotton turned out thin and lifeless in person. So we set out to fix that — partnering directly with mills we trust, cutting every order fresh from the bolt, and treating fabric the way makers do: as the starting point for something worth making well.
What we believe
Good fabric shouldn't be a gamble. Whether you're piecing a quilt, tailoring a coat, or draping your first garment, you deserve to know exactly what you're working with — the composition, the weight, the drape, the care it needs — before it ever arrives at your door.
Where our fabric comes from
We source from trusted textile manufacturers, drawing on deep, longstanding connections within the global textile supply chain. This direct relationship means we can offer natural fibers and honest weaves — soft, breathable cottons; textured, easy-drape linens; luxurious silks; warm, structured wools — at prices that reflect real value, not markup for markup's sake.
How we work
Every yard we sell is cut fresh from the bolt once you order — not pulled from a pre-cut bin. That means a little more care on our end, and a fabric that arrives exactly as described, every time. We're also building Wovefabrics to serve makers at every scale: individual sewists ordering a few yards for a single project, and fashion brands and manufacturers sourcing at wholesale quantities.
What's next
We're just getting started — expanding our fabric range, building out real fabric education (composition guides, care tips, yardage calculators), and listening closely to what our customers actually need from a fabric supplier. If there's a fabric you're looking for that you don't see here, tell us — we're always looking for the next mill partnership.
